John is an accomplished movie & television producer with a successful string of high-profile projects & hundreds of millions of dollars in box-office revenue. John produced the low budget Universal thrillers, Happy Death Day (2017) and Happy Death Day 2U (2019), which grossed nearly $200 million worldwide. More recently, he produced, Children of the Corn (2020), a prequel to Stephen King's classic short story and is producing the upcoming Netflix feature, "Sandkings", by George RR Martin (creator of Game of Thrones) and directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean). Previous projects include Point Break ($100 million reboot of the cult classic) for Alcon Entertainment & Warner Bros., The Mexican (starring Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt), Simon Birch (starring Jim Carrey & Ashley Judd) & Odd Thomas (based on the Dean Koontz novel). John was also President of Laurence Mark Productions which produced Jerry McGuire & As Good as it Gets and has produced films for Disney, Sony, Warner Bros. & Twentieth Century Fox.

Doug is a 25 year entertainment & technology exec who has produced film, TV & videogames and has financed several industry leading media companies as a venture capitalist. Doug was a founding venture investor in Pandora Radio, the pioneering internet radio service with over 100 million users & $1.5 billion in annual revenue. Doug produced the 2017 feature, FML (Busy Phillips, Andy Daly, Liza Koshy), a prequel to Stephen King's Children of the Corn (2020) and is exec producing the upcoming Amazon series, Glitch Rain. Previously, he produced the iconic gameshow, The Joker's Wild and was a senior executive at Turner Broadcasting & Electronic Arts.

Stacy has over 20 years’ experience as a film executive and, as a producer, steered projects at major studios including Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox, New Regency & Walden Media. As VP of Development at James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment, she worked on Avatar, Titanic, True Lies, Strange Days (directed by Kathryn Bigelow) & Solaris (directed by Steven Soderbergh). As VP of Production at New Regency, she worked on the film adaptation of Marvel Comics’ Daredevil (starring Ben Affleck) & Executive Produced the Doug Liman (Bourne Identity) directed film Jumper, which grossed $222 Million worldwide (starring Hayden Christensen & Samuel L. Jackson).
Steve KatzChief Technology Officer
Steve, the founding CTO of Digital Riot, also serves as a strategic advisor to the Office of the CTO of Hearst, helping to guide the company’s education technology initiatives. Previously, Steve was a CEO in residence at Samsung Accelerator & founder & CEO of Shoptouch, a mobile technology platform for proximity-based product discovery & personalized commerce. Steve launched Shoptouch in 2011 while at IAC’s Hatch Labs in New York City. Prior to Shoptouch, Steve has held a wide range of management roles, advancing innovation at IBM, Apple & Sony Pictures Entertainment. He has also served as an executive strategy consultant to leading technology firms including Microsoft & Sony Corporation.
2 time Artios Nominee, John McAlary (The Descendants, Hitchcock) has collaborated with some of the most acclaimed directors in Hollywood, including Clint Eastwood, Mike Nichols, and Alexander Payne.
John gained experience as a Casting Executive under the tutelage of Terri Taylor, former head of casting at Paramount Pictures, and has worked successfully both within the studio system and independently. One of his most recent credits, Universal’s innovative all-Skype film Unfriended, became the most tweeted movie trailer in history.

Brittany’s passion for fashion design and entertainment led her to the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. At UCLA, she's working collaboratively with faculty and students to design costumes for musical theater, and telling stories through digital production and editing. At Digital Riot Media, Brittany search for and review screenplays, identify and recommend cast, and review audition tapes.
Romain SylvianLead Software Engineer
Romain, originally from France, is a very enthusiastic and process-oriented developer passionate about entrepreneurship and building new products. In September 2013, he won the first worldwide Stanford’s Startup Engineering Challenge against 143,000 contestants. Before Digital Riot Media, he served as CTO at Get Lifing & Lead Software Engineer at Fanly the sport app.
Romain received his B.S. from the European Institute of Technology & his Business Certificate from HEC Paris.
Joshua SimsDirector of Development
Josh is an accomplished director, writer, and actor from the San Francisco Bay Area. Josh has directed multiple short films, one of which was screened at the Jerusalem international Film Festival. Josh attended the University of Colorado, where he graduated in 2015 with a B.F.A in Film Production. Josh has gained experience in the digital realm as an On Camera Personality for Super News By Movie Pilot. In the past Josh has worked for companies such as FunnyorDie and Alcheh and Hunt. Josh has trained in improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and enjoys playing guitar and writing music in his free-time.
Jessica FlaumDevelopment Associate
Jessica Flaum currently works as an actress in LA, starring alongside artists such as Laura Dern and Ellen Burstyn. She also played the lead in Strictly Liminal (2014), a short film featured in Court Metrage at the Cannes Film Festival. At Digital Riot Media, Jessica reviews screenplays and works alongside the marketing team with social media outreach. She graduated from Redwood High School in 2016 and attends Santa Monica College.
